Welcome Inn - Winter Shelter Season
Opens: Monday, December 12 @ 7am

  • All guests must register at Welcome Inn and be onsite by 5:00pm daily for transportation to the overnight shelter unless approved by a Welcome Inn case-manager. 

    • Guests who do not return to Welcome Inn on time will not be allowed to go to the overnight shelter and, if we are at capacity, that guest will lose their spot.

  • The overnights WILL NOT be allowing 'walk-ins'.

    • No unregistered guests.

  • Guests will be permitted to leave during the day for limited time-frames.

  • Guests must return to Welcome Inn each morning to ensure their spot will be saved each day.

    • No leaving directly from the overnight shelter.

  • The bus WILL NOT transport unregistered guests.

  • The maximum capacity is set at 35 guests total. This number is subject to change (might be lower) and is for both the daytime and overnight programs.

  • All guests must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test that is not more than 24-hours old at time of entry.

    • All guests will be tested again onsite before being allowed to register. 

    • COVID positive guests will not be permitted entry.

  • Welcome Inn DOES NOT have the ability to accommodate COVID positive guests. COVID positive guests will be referred to Beaumont Hospital.

    • There is NO guarantee that Beaumont Hospital will provide services.

  • All guests and staff will be tested throughout the season by the Oakland County Health Department. 

    • The frequency of testing will be determined by the Health Department and is mandatory.

  • All guests, staff and volunteers must wear masks at all times unless seated.

  • Social distancing will be enforced.
